You know the old saying “laughter is the best medicine”? Well, it’s true. Prepare for one heck of a dosage, because Funny or Die is presenting its first comedy tour: the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival. Headlined by two of comedy’s biggest acts, Dave Chappelle and Flight of the Conchords, this festival promises to deliver a 5-hour comedy experience fans have yet to even imagine. Not only will it feature the engaging acts of comedians such as the dry, witty Demetri Martin, the casual, reflective Hannibal Burress, and the zany, matter-of-fact Kristen Schaal, but it will also have “street performers, vendors, psychics, freaks, and tasty treats” surrounding two stages.
This festival is for more than just comedy aficionados. Anyone looking for a great time or hoping to catch a comic or two will get a great introduction to the general comedy scene and will be able to enjoy the countless entertaining facilities Funny or Die is providing. The festival is set to travel to 13 different states between August 13th and September 22nd, and tickets for the August 31st show at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinely Park, IL go on sale June 22nd at 10:00am.
